Ranu Mukherjee is a multi-disciplinary artist making hybrid films, drawings, prints and collaborative projects.
Her works refer to encounters with embodiment, ecology and the unknown, exploring excessive dimensions of information and narrative, and material conditions brought on by global capitalism.
She is interested in making promiscuous pictures which engage with the liminal and encourage physical consciousness.
Ranu has had numerous exhibitions and screenings internationally. In a previous life she lived in London, making work as part of the collaborative artist orphan drift.She recently completed Tender Transmissions, an audio/radio collaboration for the public art project Wonderland, and is the recipient of a Kala Fellowship award.She has 3 year old triplets and is trying to grow tentacles.
