Ranu Mukherjee

NEWS

I am excited to have received a 2009 Kala Fellowship Award and will be in residence in their Berkeley Studios from February-August 2010!

We are working on the Tender Transmissions website and will post here when it is complete!

Ranu Mukherjee makes hybrid films, drawings, installations, collaborative projects and artistic entities. She is also growing tentacles.

Her work references encounters and accounts of embodiment, survival, futurism, ecology and the nomadic to look at ways that culture spreads and explore the excessive and erotic dimensions of information and narrative.

Ranu spent many years in London working as part of the collaborative 0(rphan)>d(rift). She lives in San Francisco with her husband Mike and their 3 year old triplets. She is an adjunct professor on the MFA program at California College of the Arts.
